Years of gathering. A lifetime of amistad.

Connections. Family. Friends. Life.
This weekend, two of my closest friends—from primaria and prepa—came with their families.
We shared stories, bourbon, tequila… and a table full of food that felt like home.
Arroz like our moms used to make.
Carne asada. Grilled vegetables. Tortillas calientitas. Pao de queijo.
Laughter. Music in Spanish, Portuguese, and inglés.
And conversations that ground us.
As Hispanic men, these moments are vital.
To connect with our families.
To enjoy a cerveza, a tequila, a bourbon, and comida casera (home grilling and cooking).
To see our partners laughing with us, part of it all.
To witness the friendship among our kids—and reflect on how we’re guiding them through these times.
We don’t have to do it alone.
And we never have.
This kind of compadrismo is a reminder:
We can be present, proud, connected—con corazón.
These are the moments that root me as a man, as a father, and as a coach.
They remind me of what matters most.
Connection. Family. Sharing and creating life experiences.
