We were just talking about grabbing a tequila while I’m here in México. To enjoy the views, talk about our women, the lunacy of leaders, and tomorrows.
Shane—el luthier who lives near my farm—mentioned he was working on a new guitarra.
“Made of Kingwood, one of the most durable and rare woods from México and Brazil”, he said.
He wasn’t planning to sell it.
So I asked, “¿Tienes comprador?”
He said no.
I said, “Ya tienes uno. Yo.”
I’ll be picking it up when I return in November.
The last guitar (bottom right in the picture) I bought from Shane was made with six woods: Palo Escrito, Mahogany, Granadillo, Engelmann Spruce, Rosewood, and Cocobolo.
Each guitar brings a different energy, a different vibration, based on the wood it is made of. That’s what gives each guitar its soul and energy.
What makes it sing.
People are like that too.
When you find someone with soul, someone who brings depth, rhythm, and heart to your life with their unique energy —you take care of that connection. Whether it’s my abogado, my contador, family, or a talented luthier here in México… we all have a part to play.
And when we’re in tune, what we create together is music.
Looking forward to that tequila with Shane next week before I head back.
