Isaac del Toro reminds us what quiet strength really looks like…

No hype.
No drama.
Just a young man from Ensenada, Baja California, riding one of the toughest races in the world—the Giro d’Italia—and leading it.
At 21.
He’s not out there chasing attention.
He’s not performing for the cameras.
He’s showing up.
Focused. Disciplined.
Letting his legs and his heart do the work.
After a tough Stage 16 where he lost time, most people would’ve spiraled or blamed. But Isaac came back strong in Stage 17. And when asked about it, he didn’t brag.
He simply said:
“If I showed anything today, it was to myself—that I always need to keep going and never give up.”
That right there… that’s the lesson.
Not just for cyclists.
For all of us.
Especially for those of us who know what it’s like to carry the weight of familia, identidad, and expectations. For those who have had to prove ourselves in rooms that didn’t expect us, in industries that don’t always reflect us.
Isaac isn’t just a champion.
He’s a mirror.
A reminder that you can move through the world with humildad, with ganas, with soul.
You don’t need to shout to lead.
You don’t need permission to take your place.
Just keep going.
Even when it’s uphill.
Especially when it’s uphill.
Because the way we show up—con corazón—is how we go far.
Let’s do this.
