Hispanos Owning Their Voice & Redefining Success

We laughed, we sighed, and we recognized ourselves in each other’s story.

I walked into the bank to open a new account, and the woman helping me—una Hispana—asked what I do.

I told her I’m now coaching full-time, supporting Hispanic professionals and executives to own their voice and redefine success.

What happened next was more than small talk.

~ We found ourselves reflecting on how many of us carry vergüenza when it comes to advocating for ourselves in the workplace.

~ How our familia’s needs and fears shaped our early career choices—sometimes keeping us close when we were ready to fly.

~ How many of us learned to stay calladitos, believing humility meant invisibility.

And how, despite it all, we still rise.

These conversations matter. They validate. They heal. They remind us that the silence we were taught doesn’t have to be the silence we live.

Coaching isn’t just about goals.

It’s about naming the unseen threads that have quietly shaped our lives—and then choosing, with intention, which ones we want to keep.

Let’s rewrite what éxito looks like—con alma, con voz, con dignidad.
