When Joy Is A Strategy

ree

It was a reminder—of how joy quietly fuels meaningful work.

I drove into the city to meet with Jana—my creative partner since the beginning of My Auténtico Self.

(Jana’s website is — https://lnkd.in/gfdGAvm6.)

Yes, we’ve been refining proposals, playing around with color palate, and tweaking the updated website.

But this day wasn’t about deliverables.

We met at Café de Lucca. A favorite.

We started with fried calamari, shared paninis and fig-sweetened salads, sipped a martini and a Blue Moon, and ended with pistachio cheesecake, tiramisu, and two well-earned coffees.

We talked about life. Our families. Laughed. And, bounced around next steps.

Nothing forced. Just presence, trust, and flow.

Real collaboration.

Even with two people, you can feel culture.

When there’s respect, creativity, and joy—you don’t need a big team to do big things.

That’s the same energy I bring into my coaching—especially for LatAm and Hispanic professionals navigating identity, culture, and leadership in U.S. workspaces.

These moments remind me—it’s not optional. It’s essential.

Joy is strategy.

Who you’re collaborating with… matters. Especially, when building something I’m passionate about.
