Then Dusk Arrives

Today began with motion, with furniture being moved, containers being emptied, bodies working, and little tensions coming and going along the way.

A practical day.

Lifting what needed to be lifted, moving what needed to be moved, figuring out what needed to be figured out.

Then dusk arrives.

The day settles. Tasks for the day are done.

Jorge Drexler’s “Taracá” playing in the background. Shooting baskets to “Ante la duda, baila” — a current favorite.

My body with still enough energy to play. Transitioning from getting shit done to having some play time.

To then closing of the day in the hot tub, listening to “Te llevo tatuada.”

A full day in a life that is still unfolding at now a slower pace.
