Monday is a memory and Wednesday flew right into today. The weekend holds promise.
But there’s also an emptiness, like a pebble in your shoe that you can’t find and remove.
I’ll toss out a few possibilities. Maybe one will resonate. And through this process you can give that emptiness a name and place it outside of you.
You decide which resonates:
Sadness. Depression. Grief. Melancholy. Dismay. Disappointment. Shame. Remorse.
Or, this list may have kindled one that resonates more.
You decide.
I’m not trying to bum you out as you end your week. I’m inviting you to experience what may be inside of you but avoided by to-do lists and weekend pleasure-musts.
This pause for self and brave, internal check may lead to heightened awareness and peace.
Give it a name. Feel it. Experience it. Surrender to it.
Acknowledge the feeling and experience and let it coexist with your positive emotions and experiences. Or, if you can, let it go.
This emotion or experience is as rich and real as the delight, pleasure, optimism and contentment (to name just a few) you’ll experience and cause in others the next couple of days.
In this heightened awareness you’ll fill that emptiness and in the process be all of you.
